GREAT CTHULHU 9/13/2005
After ignoring this guy for three years, I finally got back to work on him. In the time since I last worked on him I've had a daughter, lost a pet cat, went
through two cars, and bought a new house. Ok, ok... it's official: I have no concept of time.
I didn't really like the all-green look I was doing before, so I washed him with purples, reds, and yellows to take some of the gaudiness out of the base coat.
Then I went back with green mixed with scarlet for shading, and Hooker's green mixed with Vallejo flesh tones for highlights. He's got a lot of work left before
he'll be done, but he's definitely heading where I want him to go, now.
His eyes will get a light purple edge to them around the lids, and the tentacles are going to shade to pink-purple from the green. Other "organ" looking bits will
get a reddish bruise cast to them. The claws I'm not sure of yet.
Clicking on the picture below will load up the uncropped original image- which is pretty damned massive, if a little out of focus.
